Maya Keyes: There was NO HACKING.

Sun Sep 26, 2004 at 11:34:46 PM PDT

Kossacks, we need to kill a meme, and we need to kill it NOW.

I'm leaving aside the morality or lack thereof of linking to Maya Keyes in the first place.  But I want it perfectly clear to everyone that NO HACKING TOOK PLACE to get any of the information out of her blog.  Try it yourself.

Catholic pro-choice purge continues in Indiana...

Sat May 01, 2004 at 12:09:45 PM PDT

Indiana governor Joe Kernan (who used to be my mayor, by the way) has been disinvited from giving the commencement address at St. Joseph High School in South Bend.  Bishop John D'Arcy has stated that Kernan, a pro-choice Catholic Democrat who graduated from St. Joe's, was removed from the speaking role because of his views on abortion.

Possible Kerry 9/11 strategy

Mon Mar 29, 2004 at 03:12:00 AM PDT

Is there anything stopping John Kerry from announcing, right here and now, that all relevant documentation from the various 9/11 investigations will be declassified if he becomes President?  Are there any rules or precedents I'm unaware of that would keep him from doing this?

It seems to me that he might get some real traction from announcing that the Kerry Administration will move quickly to uncover the truth about what happened leading up to that day... and will make it OPEN and TRANSPARENT for the public.  No more kvetching about possible perjury in briefings nobody can look at.  If Kerry becomes President, we find out what happened.  ALL of it.

Is this even possible?  And if it is possible, is it even remotely a good idea?
